BYU is one of only six schools nationwide to receive the award this year, which recognizes students with technical talent, moral integrity, leadership, and second language skills.

在杨百翰大学（BYU）就读是一种怎样的体验？ - 知乎首页知乎知学堂发现等你来答切换模式登录/注册美国大学留学美国名校就读体验杨百翰大学在杨百翰大学（BYU）就读是一种怎样的体验？杨百翰大学（Brigham Young University Provo）是一所私立四年制大学，成立于1875年，隶属摩门教，是全美最大的教会大学。…显示全部关注者409被浏览673,307关注问题写回答邀请回答好问题 21添加评论分享23 个回答默认排序李扬不靠谱的分析师关注与notre dame一样，神一般的被低估（我去美国就不知道notre dame）。当然notre dame要高一级。除去藤校BYU是学商（会计，金融，供应链。。。）的第一选择，你要是能去常青藤还考虑吗？别闹好吧，考虑个屁。怎么说呐，要是去不了藤校，而且学商（本人只读过商科本科），对学费价格比较敏感（byu常年占据美国最有价值的学校，服务宗旨：我们就是便宜。当然跟宗教补贴有关系，这里非常感激！）。这个可以是第一选择，听说威斯康星的项目也不错。这里指的是本科商科。我听说过的行业里喜欢的非藤校有：UT （德州），wisconsin。东边学校不是很熟。如何定义项目好：大公司的校招的数量和质量：来的越多，公司越强，你们项目的placement就会越好。很多地区性的学校，学生很少有机会拿到面试的资格，因为公司就不来你们学校。网申，good luck! 我来说一下自己所在行业（基金, 买方）及相关行业（银行）来byu校招的公司：fidelity, dodge & cox, brandes, wasatch, grandeur peak, ensign peak, pimco & capital group (不过后二者好像都不是research rule). 好吧上面的名字你不是很了解，我来解释一下，这个公司基本很少在除了藤校外招人。银行：基本每个major bank都来，什么部门都来 (trading, ibd, gir, gsam, pwm, finance, operating)。因为校友比较推，加上去的干的都不错，goldman就成了很多byu朋友选择的方向，而且盐湖城有个分部。其他银行就不一一列举。那BYU为啥会有那这么多资源？两个重要的原因就是：1）校友扶持，大部分都是教友 2）学生知道自己想做什么（传教之后），能吃苦耐劳（投行这点很重要吧）。byu investment banking club每年会带着学生到处飞。纽约，旧金山，洛杉矶，芝加哥，休斯顿去参观各大银行，机构，跟校友联谊。是一个了解自己志向／network的好方式。你要是个女的，进到palo alto的citi办公室，看到一帮抠脚大汉，几个月没洗澡的样子，估计你对这个工作失去兴趣了。课程设计比较合理，自己修了一门投资的课就是fin409 415,自己喜欢就上了三个学期，最后的活动就是帮学生基金投资，实用性非常强。还有很多校内的演讲，excel, bloomberg培训总之，如果你的梦想是去纽约进投行，或者进四大。byu绝对是你居家旅行必备良学。利益冲突声明: 本人毕业于byu, 对学校有很强的感情，但基本上只列举事实。对了忘了说了，妹子特别好看！发布于 2016-04-09 13:51赞同 9834 条评论分享收藏喜欢收起going 关注我是2022 Fall转学到杨百翰大学读大三 CS专业. 以前是加州CC转学的. 一开始来这所学校更多的是觉得便宜, 加上学校本身还不错, 全美前一百, 以及cs在美不咋看学校. 图性价比所以就来了. 当时转学还录了UCB,以及其他所有UC，州外也录了OSU, 威斯康辛, 明尼苏达等学校, 但最后还是选择来到杨百翰.先来说说氛围：来到杨百翰之后给我最大的感觉就是这里的同学和教授特别友善, 他们真的是关心你并且希望你能成功. 比如我刚开学不会用google map, 有的同学会自己带着你去找教学楼，即使他要迟到了. 不仅是在学校里，犹他州的其他地方也能感觉到犹他人民的热情和善良. 这是我在别的州感觉不到的. 学校里确实教会氛围很浓厚, 几乎百分之95以上的同学和教授都是教友. 教授大多数是以前的校友. 上课之前需要做祷告. 周天的上午大多数人会自愿的去教会，但不是强制. 另外，学校里百分之95以上都是美国白人, 并且基本都传过教，但传教不是强制的！！！只是绝大多数人都愿意去传教而已. 美国人多的好处就是你的英语能力会大幅度提高，且能够体验到正宗的留学生活. 多跟美国人交朋友真的没什么不好的. 我个人感觉, 除了周天去教会，强制要上18学分的宗教课，课前会有个不到一分钟的祷告以外，跟其他大学没有什么差别. 当然你也必须要遵守学校的Honor code不管你是不是教友：1. 不能喝茶和咖啡(但学校门口就开了一个星巴克我不知道为什么哈哈哈) 2. 婚前不能有性行为 3. 不能抽烟喝酒和吸食任何毒品 4.要诚实友善，尊重他人. 最后，杨百翰是全美最安全大学排行榜常年第一位. 在这里你几乎看不到枪击案，救护车和警笛的声音. 甚至晚上12点或半夜在学校和downtown走路都没有关系，和国内是一样的. 另外，BYU是全美最容易脱单的大学，没有之一. 因为学校鼓励学生谈恋爱和结婚. 所以如果有喜欢美国女生或者男生的同学是个很好的机会，因为基本都是美国人哈哈.跨年和玩的最好的几个美国同学一起吃火锅. 再来说说学术: BYU的US.NEWS全美综合排名在70-80名左右. 不能说很顶尖，但也是全美前100. 犹他州最好的大学. 在美国，如果是前100的学校都算是美国本地比较好的大学了. 基本都是各州的公立旗舰校或是本州最好的大学. 我想说前100的学校在美国找工作过简历绝对不是个问题, 因为美国的理工科专业本身就不咋看学校的出生, 加上BYU本身的找工以及申研的track record就很好(这个等等再讲原因). 所以综上所述，BYU在美国的排名以及找工和学术声誉是不需要质疑的. BYU最好的学院是万豪商学院和法学院. 万豪商学院是全美前三十的商学院, 几乎所有商科都是全美TOP30的级别，Accounting更是全美第一. 法学院也是top30级别的法学院. 另外，BYU强势的学科方向普遍在文商和社科, 语言类方面的学科也更是首屈一指. BYU是全美最早有自己语言中心的大学. 甚至很多大学的外国语测试的标准也是通过BYU来评判的. BYU的大多数学生基本都会说3种及以上的语言, 很大的原因是曾经在别的国家传过教. 我学的是CS, 我个人认为BYU的CS课程设置再找工作和申请研究生上绝对够用了，非常的饱和.Computer Science | Undergraduate Catalog 这是BYU CS的课程设置. CS系分为General CS和几个分支: DS, 软件工程，Animation and Games 以及CS teaching 还有CS-Bioinformation.BYU本地生的SAT平均录取分数在1350，ACT是32. 转学和直升的录取平均GPA在3.8. 这里的生源几乎都是高中前百分之5-10的学生. 可以说是全犹他州最好的学生都会来这里（当然也有很多州外的学生). 再说说学费和生活:BYU的学费我敢肯定是全美最便宜的大学，没有之一. 如果入教学费是3152美元一学期，不入教则是6304美元一学期. 一年最少只用上2个学期，一学期3个月. 另外如果在当学期内加入教会，学校会退你一半的学费. 校内的食堂最贵的套餐是每个月311美元，全部自助. 带厨房的宿舍是422美元一个月，不带厨房的是311美元一个月. 如果选择不带厨房的宿舍，必须要买学校的meal plan. Helaman Hall 这是不带厨房的户型以及详细信息链接.Heritage Halls这是带厨房的链接.带厨房宿舍楼群的外观.食堂的菜大致是这样的.如果想住在校外，普遍来说一个单间在400-550左右. 自己做饭去沃尔玛买的话一个月大致在200-300美金左右, 看你怎么吃. BYU所在的城市是犹他州的Provo, 这个城市是个中型的小城市, 物价不高，普遍来说如果周末跟朋友出去下馆子AA, 最多一个人30美金可以吃到很棒的自助或者自助火锅.学校离盐湖城开车1小时左右, 也有轻轨和小火车以及公交车可以到达. 学校离盐湖城开车1小时左右, 也有轻轨和小火车以及公交车可以到达. SLC最吸引我的当然还是NBA啦哈哈哈就业和实习机会:很骄傲地说BYU的就业和实习机会真的很多，不管是校内还是校外. BYU不像别的大学, BYU的本科生就可以做TA和RA. 这对于申请研究生和自己的履历来说都非常有帮助，而且都有钱拿. 不仅如此，校内还有成百上千的岗位供你选择, 比如校内食堂，图书馆，和其他各种行政人员都可以申请. 基本上是只要你想工作，都能工作. 我觉得最好地工作还是TA和RA. 我现在在做中文TA和CS 人机交互的RA. 一个月基本上能挣个1000+美金, 理论上来说自己自足够了. 在BYU很多同学基本都是能够自己自足的. 因为学校的奖学金很多，基本上只要努力拿到A或者A-,都会有全奖或者半奖. 假期也可以在CS的department工作，我计划在spring和summer全职在校内做前端. 校外的实习机会也非常多, 每个fall学期学校会有一个理工科的career fair. 每次都会来几百个公司, 大家耳熟能详的都有. 只要你努力，大三大四基本都可以出去实习，只要出去实习，你肯定穷不了，甚至可以自己买辆车交学费.环境和气候:BYU给我的感觉是只有夏天和冬天以及小部分春天. BYU的东西几乎天天下雪. 很像国内的东北, 但犹他州靠近落基山脉,BYU就在山脚下, 所以非常漂亮. 仙气缭绕山上有个大大的Y，玻璃建筑是BYU的图书馆，常年被评为TOP20的图书馆体育:BYU的篮球，橄榄球在全美NCAA属于D1级别，并且常年排在D1 TOP30. 有幸看过一次BYU的橄榄球，对阵的是怀俄明大学. 真的非常酷！！申请难度: 因为本人自己也做申请，擅长美本美研以及美本,CC转学. China Teachers ProgramThanks to BYU’s China Teachers Program, well over 100,000 students at major universities throughout China have benefited from the instruction of experienced U.S. teachers. The 1,500 volunteer teachers from BYU who have taught in China since 1989 teach English and other content areas, helping students prepare themselves to be more effective in exchanges with the West. In return, these teachers are forever changed by their students and the people they meet, gaining love and appreciation for the people and culture of China.

Chinese Flagship ProgramBYU’s nationally recognized Chinese Flagship Program is one of only 12 in the United States and is dedicated to developing global professionals who can function culturally and linguistically in the professional Chinese world. Students spend at least one year at BYU in advanced Chinese classes, while also pursuing their chosen professional studies. The following two semesters are spent in China, one semester at Nanjing University, enrolled in language and professional coursework, followed by an internship with a Chinese company or institution. BYU students are consistently among the top-scoring students in language excellence.
